The sciences have always been the principal focus of my education. After earning a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science, I went on to gain my PGCE with Secondary Science and my UK qualified teacher status. I continue to be a student of science, deepening my knowledge and love of the subject daily.
I have spent the majority of my teaching career developing a science department that is capable of preparing students for life after school, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in life, particularly in the scientific field. My strategic approach enables each and everyone of our students to access the subject and make noticeable progress during their years.
Since my arrival at BCB, I have been fortunate enough to have organised and lead several residential expeditions for our students. It is my belief that these are crucial in developing the whole-student. From the tropical wetlands of the Pantanal to the Sunny sands of Lençóis Maranhenses, the students have had their minds broadened and their skill sets stretched.
