Katherine is internationally-minded and believes in equipping her students with 21 st century skills to help them to become successful global citizens.

BA (Hons) Comparative American Studies, University of Warwick, UK
CELTA, International House, London, UK
PGCE (Primary with MFL), University of Bedford, UK

 

About 

Katherine is joining BSY as a Year 5 teacher in January 2021. She has 11 years of primary teaching experience and has been teaching overseas for the past 8 years. She has spent the last 5 years in Uganda where she mainly taught in KS2, and was in Dubai for 3 years prior to that where she taught Year 2. Before completing her primary training, she spent 5 years teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL).

Katherine is internationally-minded and believes in equipping her students with 21 st century skills to help them to become successful global citizens. In addition, she enjoys taking a cross-curricular approach, providing a context for learning which is meaningful for her students.

Katherine loves travelling and has particularly appreciated the wonderful travel experiences she has had in Africa over the past 5 years. She also enjoys reading, singing and hiking and is trying to improve her cooking skills!
