Secondary Update – From Mr Simon Graves 09/10/2015

09 October 2015

Today you will have received your child’s first grade report of this academic year. We’re really pleased with the continued high levels of achievement the students are achieving, but please be aware that these marks represent the first step towards the minimum target grade. Our aim is that students will have exceeded these targets by the end of the course.

The key stage 4/5 house football culminated this week with the closest competition of recent years. The only victory after three weeks of competition saw Dalat emerge as eventual victors.

Secondary Update 09102015 1

Key Stage 4 and 5 House Football

With the key stage three competition beginning this week, it’s great to see so many students getting involved both in playing and supporting their teams. Winning is great, but the participation as well as feeling part of a team is what the house competitions are all about.

This weekend, many of our year 11 stdents are traveling to Mui Ne for their iGCSE geography fieldwork trip. These experiences are those that young people remember most from their schooling, and we are grateful to all the staff for giving up their weekend for the students. Youll be hearing more about the January year group trips next half term.

We have a busy final week to the half term coming up, with a theatre group coming from the uk to work with year 11,12 and 13 literature students, whilst I will be taking members of the student council over to our friends at BIS to experience their international day.

Have a lovely weekend.
