“Year 11 went on a trip to ERC as part of their Careers Fair on Monday. They learned how to write a professional CV, what is appropriate dress for a job interview, how to handle difficult questions and how to use body language to their advantage. These skills will be put to the test the following day when they interview for their work experience placements at some of Saigon’s leading companies.”
Then on Tuesday, they had a taste of the pressures of applying for a job today when they were interviewed for a range of work experience positions, from EYFS teacher to banking. The also took part in workshops and listened to presentations from a number of organisations, including an insight into Freshers’ Week at a UK university! Many thanks to Mr Reid for organising this fantastic event, as well as to our friends fromStandard Chartered, Family Medical Practice, Asia Life, OgilvyOne, Galaxy Group, VinSpace studio, Gia Luatand the Norfolk Hotel. The students can now look forward to trying out the world of work this Thursday and Friday.
