Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that submitted an application to become part of the Student Council at BVIS. We are very fortunate to have had as many applications as we did and the standard was extremely high. It is evident that the students at BVIS are hugley passionate about their school; they care about their future and the furture of others.
KS4 and KS5 students were asked to present themselves on Wednesday 9th September to the whole of the secondray school; staff and students, so we could vote members onto the council. The speeches that were given were thoughtful, detailed, funny and clearly showed that the candidates had put a lot of time and effot into what they wanted to say and how they wanted to present themselves. Visiting parents from the KS3 coffee morning also commented on how impressede they were with the standard of English spoken.
The voting was close and on Wednesday evening Mr. Tung and Ms. Riley counted the votes and read through the KS3 applications. We would like to once again thank everyone that applied, especially those who gave a speech and we are both delighted to annouce the following members of the council, congrtualtions to you all, we look forward to working with you this year.
Ms. Riley and Mr. Tung
