Thank you to all those families who attended our parent seminar last night. There was an excellent turn out of people and I hope you found the session useful. Understanding the various curriculum that is on offer is an important step towards making good informed choices for your children and I hope the seminar last night helped in this process. I still get many parents query International A Levels versus the IB programme. I am happy to reiterate that International A Levels are accepted by universities and colleges across the world. Last year students from BVIS gained access to some of the top universities in the world including Brown University in America. We will continue to see students graduate from here to the best universities and colleges across the world using their International A Levels as legitimate currency for admissions.
Next week Year 7-10 students will be taking part in their annual residentials. Yet again we have a set up some very challenging and exciting adventures for them. We highly value the residential programme here at BVIS. It is an opportunity for students to spend time away from home and engage in activities and experiences that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to do. Often new friendships are formed and lots of fun is had. The trips enable students to develop their independence, their teamworking skills and to have a lot of fun. It is also an important opportunity for them to see teachers in a slightly different way, working with them in a more informal and relaxed environment. I wish them all well and I know there will be plenty of good stories to tell on their return.
I wish you all a very relaxing weekend.
