Mr Paul Holyome Weekly Update - 02/12/2016

02 December 2016

Dear parents

It has been very quiet in the secondary school this week with Year 7 to Year 10 students enjoying their residential trips. They are due back this evening and I’m certain they will have very many exciting stories to share with you. I know you will join me in thanking all the staff who accompanied the students on the trip and a special thank you to the trip leaders who have been planning these opportunities for many months.

Year 11, 12 and 13 students have been busy sitting their mock exams and we are confident they will have performed well. Once the papers have been marked, teachers will feedback individually to the students.

As you are aware, we take the safety of your children very seriously. On Tuesday and Wednesday this week, the Health and Safety officer for Nord Anglia Education visited the school. He visits all 43 international schools across the world so has a vast amount of experience and knowledge in this area. I am pleased, but not surprised to say that he was very happy with the Health and Safety arrangements here at BVIS and has not identified any major areas of concern here at the school. The verbal feedback we received was extremely positive and bodes well for the ongoing safety of the school.

Finally, I would like to remind you that on Saturday 10 December we will be hosting the annual Christmas Delights morning. This always proves to be a popular event and I hope many of you have taken the opportunity to sign up for a ticket.

I wish you all a very relaxing weekend

Paul Holyome
