Mr Paul Holyome Weekly Update 26/02/2016

26 February 2016

Dear Parents

It was the Year 6 turn this week to go on their residential to Hoi An. By all accounts this was a very successful and enjoyable trip and we look forward to seeing them all back in school on Monday. Next week, Year 5 will go on their residential trip to the Mekong and I know they are all looking forward with great anticipation to this visit.

As I write this piece, 14 of our secondary students are in Malaysia taking part in a FOBISIA and a SEAMC Maths competition. We are waiting eagerly for early results from the competition and are sure that our students will perform exceptionally well.

You will remember from last year, that each year we ask parents to give us feedback on how well the school is performing and further areas of improvement. In the coming weeks you will be receiving further details in how you can engage in a parent survey to assist us in this process. Many parents took part last year and I hope for a similar, if not better uptake this year.

Finally, I would like to remind you that next week we have the school photographer in school and you will have received a letter outlining on which days children will have photos taken. At some point, we shall also be attempting a whole student body photograph in the shape of BVIS. Each year this task becomes bigger as the school rapidly grows and I would like to thank you for your support in ensuring that the students are in full school uniform for these photos.

I hope you have a relaxing weekend.
