The importance and role of the Primary Student Council has developed enormously since it was first set up when the school opened in 2011. Student Council now has a high profile at the British Vietnamese International School and our Primary councillors display a high level of commitment to their role.
Primary student councillors are well-respected members of the school community due to:
· Their perseverance (always completing tasks to the best of their ability)
· Their integrity (being confident, open and honest with their peers and their teachers)
· Their enquiring nature (carrying out research to support their decision making process and
· Their reflection skills (shown when they carry out an evaluation following a task).
So far this academic year they have been involved with many big, exciting projects such as the Teacher’s Day assembly, the overhaul of the snacks provision at break time and also the cross-campus visit with both BIS Primary campuses in Ho Chi Minh City. All of these projects have made a positive impact upon the school and have been extremely worthwhile. You can read more about these on Primary Student Council.
Primary Student Council are now involved in one of the biggest projects that BVIS has ever undertaken, the launch of ‘Project Penguin’. For further information about this exciting initiative, please go to:

As part of ‘Project Penguin’ we are planning to raise the voice of the students, through the Student Council even further, under our new ‘Ambitious Leaders’ umbrella.
