A very warm welcome back to school. We have had a fantastic week here in school and the children have settled back into school well after their well earned break.
This week saw a very special secondary production called ‘One More Day’. I had immense pleasure in attending the final night of the show and was yet again astounded by the quality of the performance. We should be rightly proud of all the students who performed. They were a real credit to the school. I know you will join me in making a very big thank you to our amazing drama teacher Mr Williams. He has worked tirelessly and sometimes in very challenging circumstances to ensure the show was a huge success. He spent many hour after school, at weekend and in his holiday working with the students and practicing the show. Well done everyone.
As you are aware we take the safety and security of your children very seriously. On Thursday morning we arranged for the local fire service to join us in a practice fire evacuation drill. The drill was very successful and we shall continue to work with local authorities to practice and refine our emergency procedures so that you can have every confidence in the safety of your child at this school.
Finally, we have now received the results of the parent survey that you kindly completed recently. We will be sending the results of the survey to you very shortly in a formal letter. I would like to thank everyone who completed the questionnaire. Yet again the results for the school are fantastic and stand up very well against other schools in our region and worldwide.
I wish you all a very relaxing holiday and look forward to seeing the students back in school on Wednesday.
