What an amazing term this has been. Yet again the term has been packed full of events, activities, performances, trips, residentials and of course some fantastic learning experiences for our children. The school has not stopped and this week saw many exit point meetings, swimming galas, sports fixtures and a parent seminar. We concluded the term with a wonderful Year 4 performance today. I was intending to list as a reminder what we have achieved as school this term but the list would be too long to publish on this page!
There are always some pivotal moments in the journey of the school and achieving full CIS accreditation was an exceptional achievement for us as a community. However, it is the student learning and ultimate outcomes that we are most focused on. I hope many of you saw the recent article we published on Annie our Year 13 student who has received many offers from some of the top universities in America and the UK, including IVY league universities. In my two years in post I have had many seminars and conversations with you as parents assuring you that the BVIS curriculum and A level qualifications are excellent preparation for entry into the top universities across the world and this is just one example. There will be many more stories like this and many of our current graduates will also be receiving offers from top universities around the world. I am looking forward to our graduation ceremony in May when we will celebrate the many achievements of our exceptional students.
When we return, our Year 11,12 and 13 students will be fully engaged with their revision and examinations. I wish them all the very best of luck. Like previous year groups I am certain they will perform exceptionally well and be a credit to you as parents and to the school. We will continue to offer the students our full support during this very important time in their lives.
I know you will join me in thanking all the school staff for their immense hard work and dedication over the past term. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you as parents for your continued support, it is greatly appreciated.
Finally, I wish you all a very happy and relaxing holiday and I hope you will have plenty of time to spend with your families and friends. I look forward to seeing you all back her in school on the 25th April.
