Students in year 12 have been participating in the Saigon Enterprise Challenge which is an inter-school competition, including BIS, BVIS and ISHCMC, where students come up with a business idea, create a business plan and have an 8 week trading period.
Students are given a 1m VND commencement loan and are allowed to obtain extra finance from shareholders up to 2m VND.
The project culminates in an event whereby students showcase their business on an exhibition stall and present their business and results to judges from the business community in Ho Chi Minh City, including an advertising executive of Ogilvy and a finance director of Unilever.

The overall winners were Drawstring, a team from BIS, who won a tour of Ho Chi Minh City with another event sponsor, Vietnam Vespa Adventures.
Well done to all the teams that entered the competition. It was a fantastic learning experience for all.
