Last week, Magda, Dieu and Kiwi went to the Galaxy Media Group for an internship for three days. The experience was amazing but a bit nervous at first. Galaxy Media is the media company which publishes the magazines call “Nhịp Cầu Đầu Tư” and plans events. The environment that we worked was not too harsh for us. We did things that suitable our abilities. On the first day of our work, we were welcomed by Lyly - the event manager at the Galaxy Media group. She introduced briefly to us about the company and each department in friendly way. Each of us were told to do various things. Kiwi worked on photograph for magazine. Magda was interacting with the customers and learned about the preparation for the event. Dieu helped people on the content of the magazine. Kiwi also helped to assist the guests and preparing the props at the check in table. On Thursday, we attended a big event “Top 50 Most Successful Businesses” held at the Gem Centre. For this event we had to prepare the certificates, the name and company panels. Also we had to have meetings to check for updates and make sure everyone knew what to do at the event. At the actual event, that took place at 6pm, we had to wear a vest professional clothing and work as professionals. Dieu helped out in the backstage with the prizes and making sure prizes were in the correct order. Magda helped with the service such as if guests had any problems, she’ll answer them. Afterwards she also helped backstage. Kiwi also assisted the guest. We all helped the event team to run the event smoothly, making sure everything is in the right place, right time. The event ended at 10pm. It was such an unforgettable experience. On the last day of our internship, on Friday, our colleagues and the publishing team went out for lunch to celebrate the successful event at the Gem centre. Everyone had a very relaxed time and we chit chatted about lots of things, which was a very fun and enjoyable time after all of the stressful planning. We then went back to the company and written an excel for the feedback survey of the event. At the end of the day, we went home with lots of new skills and we learned that everything has to have a clear plan to start with and every is going to make sense. We learned that we needed patience, perseverance and most importantly teamwork in order to run an event smoothly.
