The FOBISIA Students Leadership Conference was truly a memorable experience, where we got an opportunity to understand who we are and what we can achieve as a leader. The framework of the conference was based on the book “The Culture Map” as the theme was “Cross Culture Leadership”.

Through various workshops guided by knowledgeable guest speakers such as lieutenants of the Australian military, we learnt about general leadership traits, the significant of language in cross culture management and most importantly, how to be open-minded in a real life context.

The part that I found interesting was when we presented the lack of school nurse issue, particularly during sport training sessions and events. As a result, we received several good suggestions through discussion with other school representatives.

A little tip for students who will attend this conference next year: sleep when possible!
