We have had a fantastic first half term. It does not seem that long ago that I was writing to you and welcoming you back to the school. Here we are now at the end of October with a great start to the year. Yet again the students and the staff have excelled in all they have done and very much deserve a well-earned rest.
As you know our international family of schools is always striving to deliver the very best education to all the students and families that we serve. I am delighted to announce that as part of this strategy Nord Anglia Education have now established a new Education Advisory Board. The Advisory Board will provide external perspective and vision to further the development of the organisation’s educational offer, supporting all of our 47 schools to continue providing an international education which prepares students to succeed in the world of tomorrow. Specifically, the Board will work closely with Nord Anglia’s leadership team to support the continuous development of programmes and curricula, teachers and learning environments; leading to outstanding academic, social and personal outcomes for every one of its students. The first chair of this board will be the very famous Lord Puttnam. You can see the full article here
This weekend we shall be hosting the FOBISIA teacher conference, with nearly 140 teachers from across Asia meeting on our school campus for two days. This is a fantastic opportunity to share ideas, good practice and further develop the work we are doing with students in the school. It promises to be a fantastic event.
Finally, it just leaves me to wish you all a very safe and relaxing break. School will re-open on Monday 30 October.
