Dear parents

I would like to say a huge thank you to the whole community for your involvement in another exciting and successful #loveBVIS week. There were many photos taken and shared and it was very difficult for the SLT to choose a shortlist from the many fabulous entries. It was so difficult that we decided to extend the shortlist and we chose eight student photographs to put to the student vote as opposed to just five. We also had some wonderful entries from the staff and again it was almost impossible to choose, but we did manage to shortlist five to put for the vote. This has created an enormous buzz in the school this week and it has been a pleasure to be part of such a great good feeling campaign for our school. So, I am delighted to announce that the shortlisted photographs were:

Congratulations to everyone who took part and I am already looking forward to see the entries next year.

A big thank you to the many of you who attended our parent seminar on applying and studying abroad last night. Mr Curran is doing an excellent job in supporting our students in applying for the very best colleges and universities in the world and I hope that you all found the session both informative and useful when thinking about your own children and their future plans. We will continue to ensure that we offer the very best support for families when having to make these very important decisions.

Earlier in the week I sent you via email the communication we have received in response to our representation on the Pham Hung road works. Further to this, I have raised our concerns with members of our Senior Management Board and we will also be writing a further letter to the People’s Committee to express our continued concern on this issue. Please be assured that as a school, we are doing all we can to support you on this matter within the limited scope of the power we have on this issue. I will keep you regularly updated on any feedback and actions we receive.

I hope you all have a very relaxing weekend.

Paul Holyome
