This week in the Primary School

U11 girls’ basketball city champions!

What an incredible season it has been for our U11 girls’ basketball team! The girls have demonstrated great perseverance and team work in training over the past 8 weeks, working hard to develop their basketball skills and fitness in preparation for the U11 Basketball City Championships.  BVIS hosted the championships on Thursday 16th November and a total of 7 schools from across HCMC participated in the tournament.

Well done to the U11 girls team, who won all their games in the first stage and progressed into the finals against BIS. The winning streak continued and BVIS won the final game 17-4!

Congratulations to the team, the U11 basketball city champions!

Thank you to all staff, parents and coaches for supporting the team throughout the season.

Visiting musicians

As part of our collaboration with Juilliard New York, professional musicians visit our school to broaden the musical experience of our children and inspire them in their music learning.

This week we welcomed Dr Kimberly Patterson and Dr Patrick Sutton to BVIS. They joined Primary assembly and performed some truly beautiful music on cello and guitar. Our children performed too, singing “True Colours” in both English and Vietnamese, so it was a wonderful musical exchange!

Kimberly and Patrick also performed to our Early Years children in the ELC and joined a range of Primary and Secondary music lessons throughout the day.
