Welcome back to school after what I hope was a relaxing and enjoyable Spring break. Spring is traditionally a time of new life and invigoration, and so hopefully everyone is refreshed and full of energy ready for what will be a packed and exciting final term of the year.
After the success of Debate Day at the end of last term, I am delighted to inform you that over the break, Nguyen Ngoc Khanh Nhan, 10I, took part in the prestigious World Scholars Cup. His team placed 14th overall, wining two of the rounds outright, and have qualified for the Hanoi Global Round at the end of June this year. Well done, Nhan!
Exams have already started for our year 11, 12 and 13 students, with ICT and art initially, and then more following the bank holiday weekend. Students begin Study Leave from Monday, 8 May, but will be required to attend in all subject lessons until such time as that subject’s examinations have been completed.
We were extremely fortunate to welcome accomplished Juilliard violinist Nicole Jeong to BVIS on Thursday. Nicole worked with students across all age groups during the day, as well as giving us a wonderful insight into the life of a professional musician.

Also, ongoing this week were the house swimming championships. These conclude next week, but there have been some great competitions so far!

Have a lovely weekend.
