Three students representing for BVIS are participating in the NAE-UNICEF Global Summit 2017 in New York. Nguyen Khac Hai Linh, Nguyen Minh Mai Khanh and Phan Hoang Kieu Han made their own self-introduction videos for the conference. The videos are about what BVIS has been doing recently to help disadvantaged children and calling people together to create a community with ZERO HUNGER and a campaign to improve HEALTH & WELLBEING. The most outstanding project at BVIS in 2017 was the Have a Heart campaign with the contribution of 800 BVIS students to produce 1000 artworks that were exhibited in order to raise funds for poor children who have innate heart diseases and need urgent heart operations. BVIS already raised over 500,000,000 VND and helped at least six children who need heart operations.
The unique opportunity for the students when visiting the United Nations in New York is that they will be spending time sharing, inspiring and promoting to the UN delegates from around the world with a focus on key issues related to Hunger and Health on our planet. We are extremely proud that our students’ ideas and possible solutions to these most important global problems will be addressed at the UNICEF Global Summit in New York in the coming days.
