This week in the Primary School

We have been celebrating in the Primary School this week!

150 Days of Learning

On Friday, Early Years children, their teachers, teaching assistants and parents celebrated 150 days of learning at the British Vietnamese International school so far this academic year. The focus was “literacy in the classroom” and, for parents, it was a great opportunity to experience how their children learn as they observed and participated in the following activities:

F1 performed some nursery rhymes and enjoyed “The Rainbow Fish” at story time.

F2 re-enacted the story “We’re going on a Bear Hunt” and also shared on video their ideas of being 150 years old!

F3 enjoyed a range of literacy activities including sequencing a story using pictures, matching pictures and words.

Other celebrations of achievement this week were sporting ones when the city–wide U11 football championships took place for the boys on Tuesday and girls on Wednesday. Congratulations to the BVIS boys who won third place overall and the girls who reached 4th place.
