Bastian was chosen to perform at the event as he personifies the school’s core values of perseverance, creativity, leadership, innovation and life-long learning. The school’s High Performance Learning pedagogy is built upon a belief that there are no limits to what a child can achieve. By providing students with opportunities and support, and by being inspired to reach high goals, every child can perform beyond normal expectations and develop the life skills to navigate the modern world.
“Our teaching style, our exceptional facilities and our unique setting combine to provide an outstanding education experience for every child in our school” said Wendy Ellis, Principal of LCIS.
The concert was held at the school’s new campus. Set amidst the apple orchards and vineyards of Aubonne the school draws on the environment for its inspiration and reinforces the values of a well-established family-oriented culture. The purpose built facility, constructed using environmentally friendly techniques and materials, will open to students on 1st September 2014 . The campus supports the school’s teaching style through the provision of modern technology, a breath-taking sports hall, an on-site theatre and the LCIS outdoor classroom project.
“We searched long and hard for a location that matched our vision for the school and designed a building that maximises student learning and which blends into its stunning surroundings. Any student who attends this school is truly ‘LUCKY’” said Jérôme de Meyer, Chairman of Nord Anglia Education in Switzerland.
