I was born in Canada; however, I also hold a UK passport and have lived abroad for the last 17 years of my teaching career. Since completing a BEd at McGill University, I have had the pleasure of teaching in a range of schools in Canada, Japan, Australia, the UK and, most recently, the UAE. In that time, I have worked in many roles, including as a teacher of English, Head of English, Director of Communications and the Assistant Head of Sixth Form.
While literature has always been a passion that I have endeavoured to instil in my pupils throughout my career, I have also thoroughly enjoyed supporting the students in pursuing their aspirations for life post-Secondary, whatever they may be. In many cases this has resulted in students’ successful applications to some of the most prestigious performing arts schools and universities in the world, including Oxbridge, Ivy League and Russell group institutions, as well as universities in Canada, Australia, Singapore, Korea and continental Europe. I look forward to doing my utmost to support LCIS studentss in achieving their goals and fulfilling their potential both in the classroom and beyond.
Besides my obvious love of travel, I have several diverse interests, including literature, film, sport and cooking. I also enjoy listening to a range of music and playing guitar. I am very excited at the prospect of pursuing the many outdoor activities and cultural experiences that living in Switzerland has to offer.
