We’ve had a busy start to the school year in the PE and sports department. We had planned three major events but unfortunately due to adverse weather we had to cancel our football event at Krasnaya Presnya Stadium on Saturday 24th September. This is something we are looking to reschedule for the summer term. Well done to all our young Lion athletes who continue to excel in sport and PE.
Thankfully, our football event on the Lower Campus and our first ever cross-country run took place and were very successful events! This term we have launched our new ISM Lions logo, we look forward to showcasing our new sports kit with our amazing Lions logo presented on each kit.
ISM Upper Campus managed to win the Year 5 and 6 football tournaments on September 3rd. The boys and girls who were coached by Ms Smith were resilient, determined and showed some amazing skills on the day. The Year 3 and 4 Lions team from Rosinka came out winners in the Under 9s event and the Year 5 and 6 Lions team from Upper Campus won the Under 11s tournament. Thank you again to Mr Ho for organizing such an amazing event.
On the 17th of September our Cross-country event had over 100 students in attendance, the atmosphere was brilliant, and our students showed some great stamina, speed and determination to complete a very challenging course. Mr. Smith put on a great event which was enjoyed by both staff, students and parents. There were so many outstanding performers particularly our Under 14 race winners, Artem Dzeban-Sudzilovskii and Marija Ilovaiska and Juan Zorilla in Year 5 who won the Primary race.
