The British School Yangon seeks to recruit the most talented staff; offering competitive salaries, considerable autonomy and the opportunity to develop a career in an international organisation with a global reputation. In August 2021 we will be setting up a teaching base in Thailand to teach students in Yangon online.
To be qualified, teachers must possess a degree (usually a 3-4 year course at a noted UK University) coupled with a specialised and relevant Educational/Teaching diploma issued by a reputable institution (usually one year post graduate qualification).
Alternatively, teachers take a specialised four-year teaching degree, leading to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) qualification. On occasion, we will also employ outstanding teachers with other internationally recognised qualifications and British curriculum experience.
Teachers of our Early Years section must hold a diploma of Early Childhood studies (usually two years).
Applicants must be prepared to undergo stringent child protection screening including checks with past employers and an enhanced DBS is required.
