NAIS Pudong Scholarships
Our mascot, Tony, graduated along with our other Year 13s in June 2024 and he’s decided to take a Gap Year in order to travel our global Nord Anglia Education family of schools.
He’s planning to make a variety of other fun stops on his way, so keep an eye out for him on his travels. We’ll keep you updated here!
Tony’s journey of course starts here in Shanghai at his very own school, NAIS Pudong, which opened in 2002, proudly taking the accolade as China’s oldest British international school.
Located in Kangqiao, our day school is open to students from Pre-Nursery to Year 13, offering EYFS, IPC, IGCSE and IB Diploma pathways.
Tony joins almost 600 students who have graduated our IB Diploma programme since 2008.
Tony couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful first stop! He was warmly welcomed by Regents students and their mascot, Rory the Lion, who took Tony on a tour of their beautiful campus.
Regents opened in 1994 and is a day and boarding school on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand, open to students from Pre-Nursery to Year 13, and offering a unique pathway of EYFS, IPC,IGCSE and then a dual A-Level and IB Diploma option for their senior students.
Tony’s journey continues... He recently visited the bustling metropolis of Bangkok, Thailand, where he was warmly welcomed by the team at St Andrews. Established in 1997, the school has grown to host over 2,000 students from more than 60 nationalities. Catering to students aged 2-18, St Andrews offers a range of pathways, including EYFS, IPC, IGCSE, and the IB Diploma.
Indoors, on the green fields, and by the swimming pool, it looks like Tony explored every corner of the school!
While Tony stopped off to see some of our Thai sister schools, he also took the opportunity to have a look at some of the sights of the beautiful city of Bangkok.
He had the chance to take a TukTuk ride around the city, to travel up the Mahanakhon skyscraper, and also to have a fleeting encounter with a hungry-looking monitor lizard in Lumphini Park.
As our students depart for their Christmas holidays, we reflect on what has been a very busy first term. From international trips to the USA with UNICEF, STEAM visits to MIT, trekking expeditions to Switzerland, or sports competitions in Thailand, our students have certainly been busy.
We are delighted to be named as a finalist for the China Schools Awards 2025, organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in China! The awards recognise and celebrate the achievement and best practice of international-oriented K12 education in China, and we’ve been shortlisted within the Staff Development and Wellbeing category.
We recently had the incredible opportunity to travel to Thailand for the U19 FOBISIA Basketball Invitational, hosted by Rugby School, and the experience was nothing short of outstanding.
