NIS Jakarta now has 2 fantastic new learning spaces for our youngest learners. Our Dolphin classroom opened this week providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest children aged between 18 months and 2 years.

With imported natural furniture and high-quality resources, the classroom is bespoke to this very young group of children. Supported and nurtured by our skilled Early Years teachers, every one of these little learners are getting the best start to their education. Within our Early Years, we adopt the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education. We value the child as strong, capable and resilient; rich with wonder and knowledge. We believe that every child brings with them deep curiosity and this innate curiosity drives their interest to understand their world and their place within it. Our Early Years approach therefore is based on exploration and discovery through a self-guided curriculum.

We have also opened a new Rumble Room – a designated soft play and adventure space where children can challenge themselves and learn to take risks. Filled with high quality soft play and climbing equipment, the children can develop their motor skills, coordination, engage in role play, and learn to take risks. When the doors opened yesterday, there was great excitement as the children had the freedom to explore all the wonderful equipment. Their imaginations ran wild as they climbed mountains, built trains, became bus drivers, tunneled to the center of the earth and joined the circus. Lots of exciting learning.
