Welcome Message from Rosy Clark, our New Principal at NAS Jakarta Ms Rosy Clark gives her welcome message to our school community as she begun her new role as Principal at NAS Jakarta

I am delighted to be writing to you as the new Principal of the Nord Anglia School Jakarta. It is with great pride and pleasure that I take over the leadership of the school from Niki Meehan who successfully led the school for the past three years. In that time the school flourished and developed a strong reputation, and I know how much Niki enjoyed her time leading the school’s community.

I first visited NAS Jakarta two years ago in my capacity as a Nord Anglia school leader and immediately felt at home. The school’s ethos and learning environment made such a positive impression upon me. I chose NAS Jakarta, just as you have done as parents. I firmly believe that our beautiful green campus and welcoming school community provides a wonderful environment for your children to flourish as learners.

My decision to take on the role of Principal of the Nord Anglia School Jakarta comes after more than 30 years in education. I am proud of the many years I spent in the classroom as a classroom teacher and curriculum leader as I bring a thorough understanding of what constitutes quality learning to my position as your children’s Principal. Most recently I have spent 9 years as the founding Head of Primary at another Nord Anglia school in Vietnam but I look forward to applying my experience from all my years in international education to the Nord Anglia School Jakarta.

For the past few months, I have been preparing to lead what I know is a very special school and have been in close contact with my predecessor throughout this time for a smooth handover. In addition, as part of the Nord Anglia family of schools, we have been receiving regular support and guidance from the various members of our regional office team. It is reassuring for you as parents to know that your children’s school is part of a large network, especially at this time when we are all experiencing the challenges in this unprecedented time.

I do hope this message finds you and your family well and safe. The year 2020 has been, and continues to be, challenging for all of us but I hope you feel refreshed by the summer break. The school’s leadership, admin and support departments have been busy working to ensure the background preparation for a new academic year is completed on time.

It is therefore my great pleasure to welcome you all to the new academic year of 2020-2021 at NAS Jakarta. I am looking forward to my year ahead working closely with you and your children, and meeting you all in due course. In the meantime, take good care of yourselves and stay safe.

Kind regards,

Rosy Clark
