MUSIC

Key Stage 3 students began this half term in music by exploring 9 traits of an excellent musician: Culturally Aware, Perceptive, Performers, Reflective, Literate, Collaborative, Expressive, Creative and Curious. These 9 words make up the Performing Arts Learner Ambitions and are at the core of our music curriculum as part of the Juilliard-Nord Anglia Music Programme.

The students worked in pairs to explore these complex concepts and created a poster to represent their ideas. The groups each presented in their classes to share their learning and their posters were entered into a competition, judged by Mrs. Shelley. The students behind the winning posters will each receive 5 house points and the posters will be displayed in order to help support the younger students’ understanding of their learning in music.

All the winning posters are displayed in S block or T block outside the music rooms, so please come and have a look.
