Parent Teacher Group: 05 December 2016

02 December 2016

Dear Parents,

First of all, I would like to say a really big thank you to everyone who volunteered their time last Thursday morning to help decorate the Christmas trees around school.  I have already received lots of comments from people saying how beautiful the trees look and how much it has raised spirits and helped to kick off the Christmas period.  Thank you also to the Estates Team – without them nothing would be possible.

The next two weeks will be a very busy time in school.  I have it on great authority that Santa will be paying a few visits to St. Andrews International School Bangkok and will visit children from Early Years right through Primary.

The Christmas Concert and Fair will take place on Thursday, 15 December in the afternoon.  As well as the wonderful carol concerts in the Sports Hall and games in the High School quads, there will be a number of charities and other vendors selling Christmas decorations and other gifts so please do come and have a look – I’m sure you will find some great gift ideas for your loved ones.  There will also be a range of food vendors offering a choice of light meals and snacks.  This will all take place in and around the canteen and is a great way for parents and teachers to relax and celebrate the end of term and Christmas.

I would like to thank the members of the PTG Committee who have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to organize the Christmas Fair as well as Santa’s visit.  An enormous amount of work goes into organizing these events.  As well as PTG Committee members, many other parents have volunteered their time and efforts to help out and I am very grateful.  It underlines the amazing community that we have here.

A quick reminder that there will be no meeting of the PTG in December as the date coincides with a presentation entitled “Raising Girls”.  The next meeting of the PTG will take place in January.  Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have ideas, concerns or need help or support in any way.  Our e-mail address is

Thank you.
