Walking around the KS2 building it’s easy to get a sense of the enthusiasm that the students have for their new topics. Today I visited Year 3 and Year 6 to have a look at what they have been up to.

The Year 3 shared area and classrooms have been transformed into a mini rainforest for their topic. The students have been producing some amazing watercolour artwork on rainforest animals and their habitats. The children have been working very hard on the detail and their choice of colours.

Year 6 are busily researching as they prepare to write their own biographies of a variety of famous figures - Einstein, Julius Caesar, Audrey Hepburn and Bill Gates are just some some of the personalities being studied. I can't wait to read the final versions to find out what interesting facts about their lives the students have unearthed.

Coming soon…

An environmentally themed competition to try and make a difference within our school community. Keep an eye on next week’s newsletter for more information.
