The final week of term is upon us. There is such a wonderfully festive air around the whole school.
The PTG Committee has been working hard on the organization of the Christmas Fairs at both the Primary and High Schools and they are set to be fabulous. There will be a wide variety of food on offer and a great choice of gifts for Christmas.
The Christmas Fair and Concert at the Primary School will be held on Wednesday 13 December. The two music concerts will take place in the Sports Hall; food will be in the main canteen and Christmas shopping will be in the Drama Studio quad. Please come and have a look at everything that will be on offer. There will be lots of great ideas for last-minute Christmas presents and some beautiful decorations for that empty branch of your tree! Year 6 students will be organizing some fun and games in the Year 6 quad for everyone to enjoy between the two music concerts. The games will cost about 20 baht each to play and all proceeds will be donated to charity. It would be much appreciated if your children could have 20 baht notes with them.
Meanwhile, at the High School… the PTG Committee has also been hard at work. The High School Christmas Concert and Fair will be held on Thursday 14 December. As at the Primary School, there will be a Christmas music concert and food and Christmas shopping. Please come and browse in the Atrium and see what there is on offer. This time it is our CAS students who will be running some games for students to enjoy. They will also be selling some snacks and soft drinks so if you are able to bake some cookies, cakes or brownies for this event, please send them into High School on Thursday, addressed to Miss Lisa. Please remember St Andrews International School Bangkok is a nut-free school. Nuts cannot but used in any food sent into school.
Both Fairs start at 2.30 and will run until after the concerts finish so you can have a bite to eat with friends before heading home.
Santa was seen around the Primary School last Friday. He stopped in to see the Nursery, KG and Reception children after their shows. If rumours are correct, he will be around school a few more times this week - tell your children to keep an eye out for him!
Planning is already well under way for Fun Day which will be held at the Primary School on Saturday 3 February 2018. Rides are being reserved and a preliminary lay-out is being discussed with Estates to make sure we make optimum use of our Primary campus and have as many rides as possible so students of all ages can have a great day. As usual, there will be a raffle draw and we are always on the look-out for prizes. If you can donate a raffle prize (hotel vouchers, restaurant vouchers, spa vouchers, etc) we would love to hear from you. Please send us an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
It has been an incredibly busy but rewarding first term. I am sure Term 2 will be just as busy. Merry Christmas to everyone and best wishes for healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.
