Foundation Stage & Key Stage 1: Reception classes take a fantastical trip

Reception at St Andrews International School Bangkok have a great day out at Molly Fantasy plus everything you need to know about all the Christmas performances and fun across Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1.

Reception visit Molly Fantasy

Trips are coming fast and thick at the moment with Reception, being the latest year group to enjoy a fabulous day out. School trips are really important for the value that they add to topics but also for the way that they give children opportunities to show areas of their development that the teachers might not have seen before. Who is brave and takes a risk? Who always has an eye on what their friends are doing to see if they can lend a hand? Who steps up to be a leader in an unfamiliar environment? Does someone have a lot more to say when working and playing outside of the classroom? Sometimes you are surprised what you find out.

Mercy Centre Christmas Gift Collection

Every year in Foundation Stage and KS1 we hold a Christmas Gift Collection for the children of the Mercy Centre, and every year we have been amazed by the generosity of our families. Following our final Christmas Show we traditionally load up a couple of minibuses of gifts to be delivered to the children of the Khlong Toey Community.

This year again we ask for your donations. It would be great if each family could provide one gift with a value of 300-400 baht. The gifts should be wrapped for Christmas and labelled with BOY or GIRL as well as the age for which it is suitable. We also ask that it is not a toy that needs batteries as often children cannot afford new batteries.

Boxes for your donations will appear in each shared area this week.

Thank you in anticipation as we know you and your family will support this worthy cause.
