Primary Football

The Primary TISAC Football got off to a flying start with our U9 and U11 Girls and Boys all winning their games and they are currently sitting at the top of their leagues: a brilliant achievement for our teams and one that shows off the hard work the children have put in during training. The standard of all our Primary teams just keeps getting better and better, with staff, children and parents from other schools mentioning how amazing our teams are. This is great preparation for FOBISIA and further BISAC tournaments this year. Thank you for the parent support at these fixtures.

On Tuesday, we put out our first ever KS3 team against our Senior Girls, who are about to embark on their first Volleyball season. Whilst the Senior Girls showed the value of coaching, the KS3 girls - who have been studying volleyball this term in PE - acquitted themselves well and even took the last set to deuce.

There is a real buzz about Volleyball at the moment and we are looking at ways to expand opportunities as we go forward.

Well done to all the Marlin swimmers who participated in 2nd ANS Titans Sprint Challenge 2017 this past weekend. Even though this is the first swim competition for many swimmers, they all showed excellent determination and effort in every event. The Marlins supported each other and learned how to handle winning and losing, which will help shape them in the future.

Thank you all parents again who showed up to support and cheer STA Marlins.

Next up: The Marlin Mayhem 2017 on 4th-5th March 2017 at STA.

High School House Athletics

This year’s House Athletics was a great success with our U13 and U15 students showing great resilience and effort across a range of events. We had some outstanding individual performances with a number of students breaking school records.

An equally big achievement was for students who took part in events for the very first time gaining valuable points for their House. Those students who were not competing acted as marshalls for the day, assisting staff with measurements, timings and more.

Well done to Yao who won the U13 House Athletics and to Akha who won the U15 House Athletics. However the overall champions accumulating the most amount of points over the two days were Karen, making them the 2017 House Athletics Champions. Well done, Karen!

Finally thank you to all who helped prior to and during the event. It made both days such an enjoyable experience for all. Thank you and well done!
