St. Andrews Presents...2017
Last week, “St. Andrews Presents… 2017” was held at the M theater on Petchburi Road. Our High School Students, working with their drama and dance teacher, performed a wide range of excellent pieces of drama which flowed through the 2 hour show. It really was a high-quality production, with very important messages presented along with plenty of humour and music. Congratulations to everyone involved.
FOBISIA Heads Conference
Head of School Paul Schofield spent last weekend in Beijing China with 55 other Heads of the FOBISIA federation at their annual business conference. This was a very useful meeting that addressed how the federation plans to develop to further offer a wider range of activities and opportunities to all the school communities that are involved with this prestigious organization. Some key areas of discussion were the further enhancement of staff development and training opportunities, and reviewing again the expenses involved in the whole range of student sports, music and arts activities in which our students participate at international venues around Asia.
U13 FOBISIA Games
From Saturday 18th through to Monday 20th March our St. Andrews staff will be hosting the FOBISIA U13 Games. There will be 6 international schools attending this event where they will compete at a range of excellent venues in swimming, athletics, football and basketball. We look forward to seeing the action at all of the events. Young people get so much out of these fantastic opportunities, and we wish everyone (especially our teams!) the best of luck in all competitions. Many St. Andrews staff members have worked on the organization of these games and we expect them to go off very successfully.
IB Arts Exhibition
This IB Arts Exhibition will take place on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th March at our new campus on Sukhumvit Road. We have been working very hard with the contractor to get the first block virtually finished so we can host this very important Year 13 International Baccalaureate Arts Exhibition the fantastic shared spaces we have in one of our classroom blocks. We hope it will allow our graduates and Year 12 students, along with parts of our school community, to have a first visit to this impressive site as it undergoes the renovations to be completed for next academic year. The work on display will be the culmination of the two years of study in art and design by our graduating students, and we know they are very excited about the venue and prospect of being the first ones to use this space for our High School community.
