FOBISIA Drama Festival 2017

During the week-end of 3rd-5th March, a group of Year 9 students attended the 2017 FOBISIA Drama Festival at Bromsgrove International School. This Festival is run annually and schools from across Asia participate. Over the course of 3 days our students had the fantastic opportunity to work and socialise with 200 other like-minded students who share their love of Drama.

During the day, students attended workshops inspired by a range of influential Drama practitioners. Using the ideas from these activities, they then created a piece of performance work in their theatre companies. The result was 10 pieces of engaging and entertaining theatre that were performed in front of an audience of hundreds.

On the first evening there was a beautiful Gala Dinner and disco at the Novotel. The following evening, students attended an open-air Thai cultural event with traditional performances, street food, souvenir stalls and a light show. Again it all ended in dancing.

Many thanks to all of the students involved for their hard work, enthusiasm and creativity. Thank you to Bromsgrove International School as well, for organising the event so effectively.

It was an opportunity that our students will always remember and has definitely developed their social and creative skills.
