It will soon be time to think about signing up for Term 3 ECAs, with the teachers, TAs and LSAs thinking of different clubs to offer, or different content for the clubs that are popular every term. One new club that ran last term was The Little Owls.  Taking its inspiration from organisations such as Brownies, Scouts and Guides, every term the children learn new skills, and if they show persistence and determination and complete challenges, they are awarded with a badge.  This Term’s badges were Book Lovers (thank you Khun Noot for our training session!) and Finding Your Way, with an optional Cycling Proficiency badge (in association with Spice Roads). One wonders what next term’s badges might be...

Dragons...the update from Miss Emma

This week we had news from our baby dragons! Mr Paul came to us with a peculiar looking package that had arrived in his office. We had no idea what could be inside it. Mr. Paul carefully opened the package and out came so much glitter - or was it magic fairy dust? It went all over Mr. Paul! Inside were another 3 envelopes addressed to Tigers, Lions and Leopards.  When we opened them we found postcards - to us - from our dragons! The children were so amazed, their own dragon had sent them a postcard from a faraway land! I wonder if that is the last we shall hear from them?

Receiving post from dragons?  There can’t be many better incentives for learning how to read and write!
