Key Stage 2: 01 May 2017

01 May 2017

The annual parents’ survey results are in, and they give us much to be proud of. Year 4 will have a music concert next Tuesday, May 9… This week is our “Week Without”... Don’t forget that there will be no school this Friday, May 5… Families who will be leaving St. Andrews need to complete the Leaving Survey.

Annual NAE Parents Survey

Earlier this year you were all invited to complete the annual Nord Anglia Education Parents Survey. The results from this have been shared with the St Andrews Senior Leadership Team, and we have worked together to pull out these highlights and points for development. This data has been split into Primary and High School results - the highlights and key areas for development are shown below. These will be discussed in future PTG meetings to allow us all to work together to continue the development of STA and ensure that a continued outstanding experience is provided for our whole community.

Highlights of the survey

98% of you believe that school keeps you informed about general school updates

98% of you feel your child is happy at school

97% of you are satisfied with the classrooms

97% of you see that your child is making good progress at school

97% of you feel your child is safe at school

96% of you believe your child receives a high quality education at school

95% of you identify that your child and their teacher have a good relationship

Key Areas for Development

  • Satisfaction with the bus service

  • Satisfaction with school meals

  • Satisfaction with school’s contact regarding children’s successes outside of academic progress

Year 4 Music Concert

Next Tuesday afternoon, May 9, it’s the turn of the Year 4 students to entertain us and show off all of their hard work in music this year, with the Y4 music concert. This will take place in the Drama Studio and starts at 4pm. Parents are invited to attend and celebrate the children’s work in music.

Prior to the concert, the students will be supervised by their class teachers. Snacks and drinks will be provided for them.

Week Without

Today starts our STA Week Without. Students, parents and teachers in KS2 have been asked to give up a luxury for the week to help raise funds and awareness for those less fortunate. What are you giving up to help think about and help others?

Holiday on Friday

Please remember that school is closed on Friday.

Intentions for Next Academic Year

This is a reminder that if you still haven’t confirmed the place for your child for next academic year or if you need to notify us if you are leaving or think you may be leaving, please either contact the School Office directly (Khun Nisa, Khun Jeep or Mr Roy) or click on this link to enter this information via Google Form.

We would appreciate it if you could provide this information to us by Thursday 4th May.
