Thank you to everyone who came to the Extraordinary PTG meeting last Wednesday to discuss the increase in school fees for the 2017/2018 academic year. It is obviously a cause for great concern amongst many parents, given the number of people who filled the Exam Room.
The PTG Committee has taken note of all the opinions expressed and have made a report of the meeting. The most important points make up a letter which will be handed to Mr. Paul, for transmission to Nord Anglia Education this coming week. NAE will also receive a copy of the meeting report so that they can fully understand the extents of parents’ concerns and feelings.
We will most definitely keep parents posted on progress and hope to have a representative from NAE come to school to address the parents and answer our questions.
The next regular PTG meeting will be held before the end of May – the date has still to be confirmed. At this meeting, Mr. Paul will give a presentation on the new High School campus as well as the plans for the Primary campus. We hope that as many parents as possible will be able to attend this meeting and have as many questions answered as possible. The date and venue for the meeting will be communicated to you as soon as possible.
One of the ongoing issues that are still being worked on between the PTG and school management include the problem of cars idling for long periods in the school car park. Many parents have expressed their concerns over this. It not only has a very negative effect on the environment but is extremely harmful for our children who have to walk through the car park on a daily basis. We realize how hot the cars get when parked at school but please spare a thought for our children and our environment and turn off your engines.
