PTG: 22 May 2017

22 May 2017

There are important events coming up for the St. Andrews International School’s PTG. Ms Hilary Aziz fills us in, so stakeholders can prepare to attend.

Dear Parents,

As promised in last week’s Newsletter, we will be holding a second-hand uniform sale on Thursday morning (25 May 2017) from 07.30 a.m. in the canteen.  Good quality second-hand uniform will be available it at least 50 per cent discount.  Please remember that ALL profits from the sale of second-hand uniform goes to the charity Baan Dek and is used for the purchase of school uniform for children in their care.

The PTG is holding two meetings next week which we hope lots of people will be able to attend.

On Wednesday, 31 May 2017 there will be a meeting of the PTG which will be held at 08.00 a.m. in the Drama Studio.  Mr. Paul will be giving a presentation on the High School Campus and will be sharing plans for the changes to the Sukhumvit 71 campus to transform it into a Primary only campus.  Please come and have all your questions answered.

On Thursday, 1 June 2017, again at 08.00 a.m. in the Drama Studio, we will hold an informal coffee morning where we will be joined by Simone Courso, one of our School Counsellors and Mr. Roo, the Head of High School.  Conversation will revolve around issues that our young teen students face and how School is interacting with our teens on these matters.  Parents need to stay abreast of the newest teen trends and behaviour and how the use of social media has aggravated some situations.  Please come and join us for a cup of coffee and a lively discussion.

Another date to remember is, of course, the PTG Summer Party which will be held on Friday, 16 June 2017 at the Danish Loft on Sukhumvit 71.  Details will be on Moodle in the next few days.  Please look out for details and join us on the 16th.  Last year’s event was a huge success and this year’s event promises to be just as great.  It is a relaxed and fun way to celebrate the end of another successful year at St. Andrews.

Thank you.

Hilary Aziz
