Behind every St Andrews residential trip: a commitment to student safety

We are all very excited about our upcoming Residential Weeks. This term, many of our students will embark on unforgettable residential trips designed to foster friendships, build confidence, and create lasting memories.

At St Andrews Bangkok, residential and day trips are an integral part of the curriculum, offering students enriching experiences beyond the classroom. Primary School students begin building independence with an overnight stay in Year 2, progressing to multi-night residential trips in Years 3 to 6 that include hands-on activities in nearby regions. In High School, these experiences expand into longer adventures featuring outdoor pursuits.

Our playgroup offers a safe, joyful space for children to play, explore, and build early social skills, with quality teachers supporting their learning every step of the way.

St Andrews’ IBCP pathway blends the academic strength of IB courses with the practical, career-focused experience of BTEC, giving students a personalised route that prepares them for both university and the workplace. Through hands-on vocational study, real-world work placements, and a holistic skills-based core, students gain the confidence and expertise needed to thrive in their chosen career paths.

Arhamm, a Year 12 St Andrews Bangkok student, recently joined the MIT Student Workshop in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he explored cutting-edge STEAM learning alongside peers from around the world. From touring the Glass Lab and creating laser-cut coasters to tackling escape room challenges and visiting Harvard, Arhamm described the trip as “an unforgettable experience with loads of memories,” highlighting collaboration, creativity, and new perspectives gained throughout the week.

On Sunday, 16th November 20250, St Andrews Bangkok proudly hosted its 11th STAMUN conference, welcoming over 130 delegates from schools across Bangkok and beyond. Under the theme “Navigating Global Crises Through Cooperation and Protection”, students engaged in dynamic debates across five committees, showcasing diplomacy, leadership and collaboration. Inspiring speeches and thought-provoking discussions set the tone for a day that celebrated global-mindedness and the power of youth voices. STAMUN XI was a true testament to what young leaders can achieve when they come together to shape a better world.

At St Andrews, sport truly is for everyone. Our unique Inclusive Sports Programme ensures every student - no matter their experience or ability - has the opportunity to participate, progress, and thrive. With pathways from beginner to elite level, specialist coaching, and a wide range of sports from football and tennis to swimming and chess, the programme fosters skill development, teamwork, and resilience in a supportive environment. More than just athletic performance, it promotes lifelong health, confidence, and personal growth. Guided by the simple philosophy that sport is fun, improving is entertaining, and competing is fun, St Andrews celebrates every student’s journey - on and off the field.

St Andrews International School Bangkok hosted the VEX VIQRC Mix & Match Tournament on 22nd November 2025, bringing together 80 teams from across Thailand for an exciting day of STEM competition. The event featured Elementary and Middle School divisions, the Non-REC RAT League, and celebrated outstanding achievements by our student teams, supported by dedicated staff, volunteers, and the RAT Foundation.

St Andrews is proud to introduce two unique members of the school community: Amber and Neo, two female Sulcata tortoises. With their calm, friendly personalities, they’ve quickly become beloved companions to students and staff, reminding everyone to slow down and enjoy the moment. Living in a custom-built habitat at High School, Amber and Neo also star in “Tortoise Talks,” sharing tips on student life and well-being across St Andrews’ social media pages.
