NAE Recruitment Fair
This week I will be attending the NAE Recruitment Fair in London to search for a new crop of skilled, enthusiastic and dedicated teachers to round out our staffing needs for next academic year. We have received a significant amount of interest in our school since we started advertising for available positions, and now that we have compiled a shortlist of intriguing candidates, I can wait to meet these interesting men and women to discover how they can be a part of the unique educational environment we offer at St Andrews. Of course, I will definitely be back in Bangkok on Friday to attend the annual Fun Day event on Saturday, 3rd of February.
Fun Day
The PTG and our Estates staff have been making extensive plans and working tirelessly into making this Saturday’s Fun Day at the Primary School even more successful than in years past. Fun Day tickets in the form of a wristband are now available to purchase at the School Office. The blue wristband is an all-inclusive pass for entry and rides throughout campus and costs 500 baht, while the 100 baht yellow wristband is for those who only want to enter the event and take a look around. Please note however that admission for children under 3 is free.
To avoid any possible queuing at the gate, I recommend purchasing Fun Day wristbands from the office before Saturday. If on the day of the event, you wish to upgrade a yellow wristband to a blue one, you may do so for an additional cost of 400 baht.

Last Friday, booklets of Fun Day Raffle Tickets were sent home with students to sell. One booklet containing 10 tickets costs 500 baht. Individual raffle tickets can be sold separately for 50 baht each. Everyone with a ticket will have a great chance to win fabulous prizes like an iPhone 8, iPad mini, Beats Headphones and many other surprises. If anyone would like to buy more than a single booklet of raffle tickets, please contact the Accounts Department at the School Office. On the other hand, unwanted tickets should be returned to the office for resale. Thank you for your generosity and good luck!
Parking during Fun Day
Parking will not be available at Primary School for Saturday, so to make your transportation to and from school easier, we will be providing shuttle bus services at two convenient locations. One option is to park your vehicle at MaxValu on Soi 71 and hop right onto shuttle buses in the car park heading to Primary School. There will also be a shuttle bus service for those wishing to park at Gateway near BTS Ekamai. The shuttle bus timetable is shown below:

In order to make the necessary preparations for Fun Day, the Primary School will be closed on Friday, 2nd February at 3 pm. Please note that all ECAs and squad training will be cancelled, and only the 2.30pm school buses will be in operation.
Once the campus is cleared, we will be bringing in rides and large equipment needed to set up for the Saturday’s festivities, so please make sure your children are collected promptly at the end of the school day.
St Andrews Presents...2018 A Theatre Showcase

Please be sure to purchase tickets for the upcoming 2018 Theatre Showcase from the High School Office. If last year’s show is any indicator, this event is sure to be one the highlights of our performing arts calendar, and it certainly will be the biggest event held in our new High School theatre to date. For 200 baht, you will be entertained bedazzled by the quality productions assembled by our Drama Department and our multi-talented students. Hope to see you all there on Wednesday, 7th February.
