Welcome back after what I hope was a very relaxing festive holiday with family and friends. The children certainly seemed raring to go this morning as we welcomed them back for the new term. Following on from the celebrations at the end of last term, the video of the Year 5 & Y6 Christmas concert is available for everyone to view here. Huge thanks to Julian Hadden, and his son Jay, for their hard work capturing and editing the video.
Also well done to the Year 6 students who organised an amazing Christmas Fair. The students worked really hard to prepare for this and their hard work paid off as they raised over 30,000 Baht for charity.
We have another extremely busy term ahead of us in KS2 which is made even more exciting with all of the residentials taking place between now and Songkran. These trips provide all students with the opportunity to develop outside the confines of the classroom and school environment, and we hope that every student in KS2 will be able to participate in these. Each of the trips is full of challenges, whether physical, mental or personal and everyone always comes back better for it.
We also have Fun Day just a few weeks away - Saturday 3 February. This is a great day in which the whole family can relax and enjoy the stalls and rides and enables the whole community to socialise together. There's also the chance to win big in the grand raffle with some amazing prizes up for grabs. Check back here and in the PTG section in coming weeks for more details on the event and ticketing.
The week beginning 19 March is our Primary Book Week. This is our celebration of the love of reading, during which the children will be able to take part in a range of book-related activities in the classroom, as well as competitions, games and extra activities taking place across the week. We will be revealing soon who our visiting author will be, and of course - as always - we will be rounding off the week with our book character parade. It’s time to start thinking about costumes.
