Primary School Drop-off
To help reduce traffic congestion in the local area around our Primary School, we would like to remind you that in the morning Pridi Soi 20 is a drop off zone only.
To speed up the drop off process and keep traffic flowing, we ask that children are ready to exit the vehicles with all their belongings as soon as cars pull up to the entrance. This morning the Klongtan police observed some families stopping to retrieve bags from the boot/trunk of their vehicles and some cars which stopped so the driver could get out and open all of the doors. This caused traffic to back up on Pridi 20 all the way up and onto Sukhumvit 71.
In the afternoons, cars should not be parking opposite the school entrance and waiting for children to come out.
To ensure that we still have permission from the local police to use this entrance as a drop-off/pick up point, we request that those of you who use this facility cooperate by ensuring a quick drop off in the morning and not blocking the soi by parking opposite the entrance.
Parents are encouraged to take advantage of the MaxValu parking and shuttle bus service as well as parking at Gateway and using that shuttle bus.
Additional Car Park at Primary School
We will soon be announcing additional parking following discussions with the owners of the land adjacent to Soi 26 on Sukhumvit 71, which is very close to the Primary School. This is a large area of land which has already been initially developed and covered with a concrete floor. The landowners are looking to open a really impressive market in the near future, which will be called Suk 71. They have agreed that we will be able to use this area for our school community to park their cars at the beginning and end of the school day. We are in the process of working out the details with the Suk 71 owners which will include our school security guards being present throughout the day to help parents access this parking and ensure that it is clear of our school communities cars at the end of the school day. I look forward to telling you more about this great development in the near future.
As you are well aware, International Days are coming soon. Celebrations will be held at the Primary Campus on Friday 12 October and at the High School Campus on Friday 19 October. A huge thank you to our PTG and the country representatives for all the work they have so far put into setting up the food halls and cultural displays for the wide range of nationalities we have in our school community.
