Foundation Stage & Key Stage 1: Relax and refresh as part of Mindful Friday

Students enjoyed a session of yoga as part of our Mindful Friday activities...the STEAM competition winners were announced... And find out more about transition meetings happening this week, as well as all the other important dates for your diaries between now and the end of term.

Mindful Friday

The House Team organised another fantastic Fun Friday last week with Mindfulness being the focus of the day. There was something for everyone to enjoy at morning break, but the favourite activity was undoubtedly the Mindful Yoga. Students flocked to the Y6 Quad to join Miss Jen, our specialist dance teacher, for some relaxation to ease away the tensions of the week. After a 20 minute session everybody felt rested and ready to carry on with the rest of their day. It is worth remembering that Miss Jen offers a range of dance and yoga ECAs for KS1 students and will be joining us again next term

KS1 STEAM Competition Winners

You may remember that a couple of weeks ago Ms Sarah launched another STEAM Challenge - to create a moving vehicle. Congratulations go to two KS1 winners, both in Y1. Well done to Avi in 1E and Tin Tin in 1S, who both created fantastic vehicles.

Transition Meetings

This week there are two Transition Meetings taking place - On Tuesday a meeting for parents of children moving from Reception into Y1, and on Thursday a meeting for parents of children moving from Y2 to Y3. These meetings mark the move into a different phase of school and give parents the opportunity to ask questions about similarities and differences between the phases. Both meetings will start at 4.00 p.m. For more details contact your child’s class teacher.

Proceeds from the White Elephant stall at Fun Day

At Fun Day in February you will remember that Ms Meg and Ms Jane ran a white elephant stall. With the help of your generous donations, they raised 20,000 baht which has been donated to Operation Smile. Thank you to everyone who helped on the day to raise money for such a worthy cause.
