Key Stage 2: Glitz, Glamour, Music & Fun

Year 6 Prom was a time to celebrate, eat, and of course, dance… Year 4 conducted their first ever expo event... Year 5 and 6 students competed in their annual Sports Day while also showing off their musical talents in a concert.

Year 6 Prom

Last Thursday was a glitzy affair for the Year 6 Prom. This was a chance for the students to let their hair down as they celebrate coming to the end of their time in Primary School. The Year 6 teachers, with the help of the PTG and the school caterers, organised an amazing afternoon for the students which included a delicious buffet, some tasty frozen yoghurts, a chocolate fountain, fun photo opportunities and of course some funky dancing in the Drama Studio.

Year 4 Expo

Last week Year 4 held their first ever Expo, which replaces the old year group assembly. The students work was displayed across the classrooms and shared areas and the students were on hand to explain what they had done to the visiting parents and to students from other year groups. It was amazing to see just how much work has gone on in Year 4 over this year and the quality and effort that has gone into it. The students also entertained the audience in the Year 6 quad with some beautiful singing and some outstanding dancing.

Well done to everyone on Year 4 for a great day

Year 5 & 6 Sports Day

Last Monday, the Year 5 and 6 students competed in their annual Sports Day. The children spent the morning carouseling around a variety of challenges, both in the Sports Hall and on the field. These tested their agility and ball skills. There were some excellent examples of children choosing kind by being good sportspeople and showing respect for their teammates and competitors. The teachers even got a chance to take part in one of the relay races! The overall house winners for Years 5 & 6 were Karen.

Year 5 & 6 Music Concert

Well done to all of our amazing Y5 & Y6 musicians who performed in last week’s music concert. This was a showcase of all of the hard work that the students have been putting in throughout the year in their music lessons and with the additional practice that they put in at home
