PTG Summer Party
Of course, the final date in our diary is the PTG Summer Party. It will be held on Friday 15 June at Viva Thonglor. Tickets are on sale via Moodle and cost 100 baht. This entitles you to one complimentary drink. Free flow soft drinks and finger foods are offered by the PTG. Wine and beer will be available at vastly reduced prices. Please sign up and join the celebration. It is a fantastic way to end the year.
Thank you to everyone who came to the PTG meeting before the short mid-term break. Thank you also to Mr Paul and Mr Geoff for updating parents on the “Choose Kind” initiative in Primary School and the monthly themes in High School to support the ethos of “What makes a great St Andrews student” and “What makes a great St Andrews community”.
The next meeting of the PTG will be in Term 1 of the next academic year. We will also be holding our Annual General Meeting early in Term 1. This is a great opportunity to see everything that we have achieved together – parents and school working together for the good of our children and our community.
One of the many activities organized by the PTG Committee is the “Parents’ Activities”. These have, up until recently, been centered on sports but we are working on extending the range of things available to parents to include crafting and a book club. If you have a talent you would like to share with other parents or if there is something you would be interesting in learning, please get in touch with us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Careers Day in High School
This week sees Mr Bevin’s Careers Day in High School. Thank you to everyone from our parent community who has stepped up to participate and help guide our Year 10s in their decision-making for the future.
Lost and Found Reclaim Days
Don’t forget on Tuesday 5 June there will be a Lost and Found Reclaim Day in Primary School where everything that has been handed into Lost and Found but has not been claimed will be laid out for you to have a look through and take whatever is yours. After Tuesday, anything that has been handed in up to the Songkran holidays will be given to charity or to the second-hand uniform sale. Items which have names on are returned to the student so please do check to make sure that everything that comes into school is clearly labelled. Lost and Found in Primary is run by parent volunteers. If you have some time, say one morning a week, and would like to help out, please get in touch (email@example.com) and we can try to have the Lost and Found open more frequently.
There will also be a chance to reclaim lost items in High School on Thursday and Friday this week. Valuable items are in Mr Roo’s office.
PTG Facebook Group
Don’t forget we have a very lively Facebook Page where you can keep up with everything that is going on at school but also you can use it as a means to get in touch with other people. This is just one of the many ways that the PTG is working to strengthen our school community.
As always, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any suggestions, questions or concerns. The easiest way to reach us is by email on firstname.lastname@example.org or many of us are around in the mornings both at Primary and High School and you are welcome to have a chat at any time.
