Drama: Year 10 visit the Primary Campus

FS1, 3 and Year 1 were the lucky audience for Year 10’s storytelling performances.

Year 10 have been working hard on their story telling performances, using the Julliard creative classroom to inform their work. As they were exploring fairytales we thought who could be a better audience than our young friends at primary. Monday saw 13 iGCSE students journey to the primary where they had an opportunity to perform for ten different classes, showcasing their hard work and individual creativity as each piece was a solo performance. The audience were enthusiastic and focussed throughout. We are looking forward to another opportunity to visit the Primary Campus soon.

Christmas is Coming!

021219 drama 7

St Andrews High School Drama Department are very pleased to present this year’s KS3 Winter Production of ‘A Christmas Carol’. Our students have been working very hard over this term and the result is a delightful and surprising interpretation of this classic tale by Charles Dickens. We are very lucky to have been helped out by a number of Year 10, 12 and 13 Directors and Designers who have contributed an enormous amount of creativity and showed a great deal of commitment. Tickets are now on sale. This is a Promenade performance taking place in the theatre and over the whole of Floor 6 Blue Block. Therefore we kindly request that tickets are secured as quickly as possible due to the size of the performance spaces. The play will start in the theatre and will then move to the other areas, as a result there will be no seat numbers allocated. There are two performances on Wednesday 5th December, including a 1pm Matinee for parents and a 4pm performance for everyone. We are also delighted to welcome the cast of ‘Shrek’ from Primary to watch a dress run through on the morning of Wednesday 5th.
