Primary School Music: Spotlight on Year 4

Year 4 impress at their concerts and our Primary FOBISIA musicians get ready for their Thriller in Manila.

Year 4 Concerts

Congratulations to Year 4 for their Natural Disasters inspired musical performances in their concerts last Wednesday and Thursday. They worked really hard on their piano, ukulele, recorder, bucket drumming and vocal performances. They also showcased some of their composition work from their Thai topic in Term 1. They performed in a traditional Ankalong-style performance with one child per instrument, using the Pentatonic scale to create their compositions. Well done Year 4!

FOBISIA Primary Music Festival in Manila

The children are all set to take part in the FOBISIA Primary Music Festival this Thursday-Monday. They have been busy learning their music all year so far and are looking forward to meetING their orchestral, wind band and choir friends from all over the region as we gather to put together a wonderful concert for parents on Sunday. The Theme this year is Thriller in Manila and the children have loved getting to grips with their spooky repertoire, including Superstition, Thriller, Ghostbusters and Oh Fortuna. Last week they wowed the Primary campus with their chair drumming for the FOBISIA’s Got Talent show so they are certainly ready for everything now. Good Luck STA Musicians!!
