Art: Student Spotlight - Pearie Year 7

We look at excellent work from Pearie’s sketchbook and beyond.

From Year 7 up to Year 13 Art and Photography students at St Andrews International School Bangkok use their sketchbooks as a place for developing ideas, experimenting with media and research. They work hard to fill their pages with high quality class work and homework. From time to time a student will go way beyond the expectations of their age group to produce something ‘magical’. Pearie, from Year 7F, is one of those students. She works tirelessly to produce mature, intricate and creative pages of art. She has a particularly good eye for detail and uses colour very effectively. St Andrews Art Department is thrilled to present to you the artwork of Pearie.

Artist of the Week

Not surprisingly, this week’s ‘Artist of the Week’ is Year 7 student Pearie, nominated for her beautiful ‘imaginary landscape’ painting, which was a break from her usual style, demonstrating a more fluid and loose brushstroke. This painting, made for homework, depicts an atmospheric and mystical landscape.
