Key Stage 2: The sun'll come out tomorrow

Final preparations are taking place for the KS2 production of Annie. Some important information about this term’s timetable and the SRE Curriculum.

Annie - KS2 Production

This year’s KS2 production - Annie- will be taking place across three afternoons - Tuesday 7th, Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th May. These performances will start at 4 pm in the Drama Studio. Tickets for these shows will be available to reserve from this Wednesday, 1st May at 4 pm. You can access these on Moodle from a module similar to the one used for ECA sign ups. This link will take you to the booking page, but nothing is accessible until Wednesday at 4 pm.

The children (and teachers) have all been working hard all year to get to this point and we hope that you have the chance to come along and see the amazing show. All of the children in KS2 will get a chance to view the show at the dress rehearsals which will take place during the school day over four days this week and next.

Ms Sarah ran a competition to design the posters for the show and we are happy announce the two winners whose artwork is being used. They are:

Well done to Bona and Kiana who will each get 15 House Points, alongside seeing their artwork displayed around the school.

SRE Curriculum

Following on from Mr Ewen’s email last week, please remember to read more about the SRE curriculum for your child’s year group and to field questions you may have to either the class teacher or the year leader.

Monday Timetables

As we lose quite a few Mondays this coming term, we have decided to run two days using the Monday timetable. This will happen across both campuses and ensures that children don’t miss out out lessons which take place on Mondays. This will apply to lesson time only. Our ECA program will run as normal on these days due to the involvement of outside providers who cannot easily change their schedules. The Monday timetable will run on the following days:

  • Wednesday 8 May

  • Thursday 23 May

Children will need to come prepared for the Monday timetable on these days, which may mean that they need to pack their PE kit, swimming kit or bring their musical instrument (Y5 & 6) for that day.
